Summr Reading Aide (Part-Time)
Northbrook Public Library seeks Youth Services Summer Reading Aides (4 Positions Available)
Part-time: 18 hours/week
Schedule: Varies, includes day, evening, and weekend shifts
About the Position
Summer Reading Aides engage and interact with young people and their caregivers registering for and participating in the Summer Reading Program. They will assist in patron registration, explain program rules and procedures, log data in an online computer system, tally statistics, distribute prizes, and organize program supplies. Day, evening, and weekend hours required.
Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATION: Two years high school (minimum) and be 16 years of age by first day of employment.
Friendly, outgoing person with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Experience working with children and teens is highly desirable.
