Northbrook Public Library seeks a Facilities Assistant

 

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Schedule: Varies; Requires some evening and occasional weekend hours.

 

About the Position

We are seeking a detailed orientated individual to join our team as a Facilities Assistant. The ideal candidate will have solid computer and customer service skills, be comfortable relating to a diverse group of people and be able to work accurately in a changing environment with frequent interruptions.

 

Duties

Responsible for performing building maintenance, repairs, and cleaning to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff and patrons. Key responsibilities include managing maintenance tasks, setting up meeting spaces, and utilizing an online ticketing system to track issues. The role requires effective communication and problem-solving skills.

 

Qualifications and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Computer Skills

Customer Service experience

Communication skills and a positive outlook
