Monthly Luncheon: June 2007 Legislative Lunch

Four of Northbrook's legislative representatives will share their perspectives on the recent legislative session at a special wrap-up luncheon. Featured speakers will include Illinois State Senators Susan Garrett (D-29)and Jeffrey Schoenberg (D-5) along with state Representatives Karen May (D-48) and Elaine Nekritz (D-57). The legislators will review the highlights and challenges of the session, summarizing legislative initiatives they have sponsored. Among the topics the speakers will address will be the recently proposed gross receipts tax, education reform, the proposed payroll tax to fund healthcare for the uninsured and other matters of interest to local businesses. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.
