Business Development Representative
Purpose of the RoleThe Business Development role is responsible for generating new revenue and expanding the Marketing Partnership International’s client portfolio through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and disciplined sales execution. The role operates within the target verticals to drive meaningful conversations and uncover client needs that lead to new business growth for MPI.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Engage in business development activities to meet prospects and qualify them in the sales process. Consistently create and convert qualified opportunities that drive profitable new client acquisition and sustainable agency growth.
- Consistently execute outbound prospecting activities including networking, referrals, email outreach, social media and phone engagement
- Research prospects through databases, directories, websites, LinkedIn, etc. building prospecting lists and pursuing target accounts
- Use of CRM: Hubspot to build and maintain a qualified prospect pipeline with accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking
- Ensure accuracy of contact information, interactions, meetings, emails, etc.
- Establish relationships with senior decision-makers within target verticals
- Conduct consistent follow up to advance opportunities through the sales process
- Attend meetings with prospects and provide support throughout the MPI sales pipeline to Agency Agreement
- Company fits in one of the target verticals
- Contact is the owner or marketing decision maker
- Prospect has plausible business issue tied to marketing
- Meeting is held, not merely booked
- Managing Director agrees it was a valid meeting to discuss marketing needs/solutions
- Qualified meetings booked
- Revenue billed and collected

Qualifications and Experience
- BA or higher
- 3+ years of work experience (preferred)
- This position reports to the Managing Director.
- This position is hybrid, in the office 2 days a week.
