On January 1, 2020, the Illinois Workplace Transparency Act (WTA), a sweeping piece of legislation that imposes a variety of restrictions and requirements on employers relating to workplace discrimination and harassment, took effect. Among other requirements, the WTA mandates that all Illinois employers provide sexual harassment training to all employees by December 31 of this year, and annually thereafter.
