Annual State of the Village Address
At this year’s annual State of the Village Address, President Sandy Frum will highlight Northbrook’s strong local economy and finances which provide a solid foundation for businesses. President Frum will recap notable milestones from 2018, and highlight potential opportunities and challenges the Village anticipates in 2019 and beyond. The lively interactive presentation will also include a discussion of redevelopment projects, what the upcoming local elections and recent state elections mean for Northbrook, the Village’s legislative priorities, and anticipated capital improvement projects including upgrading facilities for Police, Fire, and Public Works.
President Frum will also review the many ways to keep up to date with Village news, including through Northbrook Notify (the Village’s mass notification system), and Facebook page. She will discuss the resources that can be found on the Village website, including links to Village Board and Plan Commission meeting recordings, and informative memos on agenda topics. There will be an opportunity to meet with Village staff from Development, Finance, Public Works and Administration departments.
President Frum was first elected as Village President in April 2009, re-elected to additional terms in 2013 and 2017. A resident of Northbrook for 41 years, she previously served as a Village Trustee for 24 years where she chaired the Village's Finance Committee for much of her time in office.
