Annual Meeting & Dinner

Craig Donohue, who helped bring together Chicago’s two leading commodities exchanges to form the world’s largest financial market, will be the featured speaker at the Chamber’s 2009 Annual Meeting. In addition to Donohue’s remarks, the event will feature installation of the 2009 Chamber board and the presentation of the Annual Business Awards.
   Donohue’s role was key to orchestrating the historic 2007 merger between the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the Chicago Board of Trade CBOT) to create CME Group, now the global leader in futures and options. He also was instrumental in CME Group’s 2008 acquisition of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
   A Northbrook resident, Donohue is an active member of a number of civic organizations, serving as chair of the National Council on Economic Education and as a board member of the Executives’ Club of Chicago and the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook’s Advisory Council. 
   The Chamber is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2009 Business Awards:  Underwriters Laboratories, Corporate Citizen of the Year; Cal-Sun Construction, Small Business of the Year; Jeanine Buck, Bank Financial, Chamber Volunteer of the Year. 
   Recipients will be featured at the upcoming Annual Meeting along with keynote speaker Craig Donohue and the installation of the 2009 Chamber Board of Directors. In addition, winners will be highlighted in next month’s newsletter along with a feature article in the Northbrook Star.Sponsors Needed for Annual Meeting

Sponsors will be recognized in pre-event advertisements in the Northbrook Star and will also be listed on the event program. Sponsors will also be front and center for this important event with preferential seating. Table sponsorships are $650 and include seating for 8. Individual sponsorships are $95.
