Craig Donohue\, who helped bring together Chicago&rsquo\;s two leading commodities exchanges to form the world&rsquo\;s largest financial market\, will be the featured speaker at the Chamber&rsquo\;s 2009 Annual Meeting. In addition to Donohue&rsquo\;s remarks\, the event will feature installation of the 2009 Chamber board and the presentation of the Annual Business Awards.
\; \; Donohue&rsquo\;s role was key to orchestrating the historic 2007 merger between the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the Chicago Board of Trade CBOT) to create CME Group\, now the global leader in futures and options. He also was instrumental in CME Group&rsquo\;s 2008 acquisition of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
\; \; A Northbrook resident\, Donohue is an active member of a number of civic organizations\, serving as chair of the National Council on Economic Education and as a board member of the Executives&rsquo\; Club of Chicago and the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook&rsquo\;s Advisory Council. \;
