2005 Economic Outlook Breakfas: 2005 Economic Outlook B'fast
There are signs that the economy has been doing fairly well of late, but there are concerns that we may still be living beyond our means. Are consumers too deeply in debt? Will our government ever bring revenues and expenses into closer alignment? The answers to these and other questions will be addressed, along with the latest from Washington and the financial markets at this year’s Annual Economic Outlook breakfast. Featured keynote speaker will be Carl Tannenbaum, Chief Economist for LaSalle Banks Corporation, a $100 billion organization centered in Chicago and an affiliate of one of the world’s largest financial institutions. Tannenbaum is one of the most respected resources for the business community as well as CNBC, CNN, and other media outlets, on current business conditions and the economic climate. He is also a member of the Blue Chip panel of economic forecasters and is on the Board of the National Association for Business Economics. He is well known for his concise, easy to understand explanations of complex economic issues. In his capacity with LaSalle, Tannenbaum provides internal and external briefings on business conditions. He also publishes weekly, monthly and quarterly commentary for distribution to the bank’s customers and is often quoted in national financial publications. Tannenbaum has been with LaSalle Bank Corporation for twenty one years. He holds an MBA and a BA in finance and economics from the University of Chicago. You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity to network with hundreds of other business leaders, Chamber members and guests at this breakfast meeting.
