According to financial experts, we're now in the fifth year of the current economic expansion. To extend this economic prosperity, several key situations have to managed very carefully. These economic issues along with a review of the balance sheets for consumers, business, housing, and the U.S. government will be the focus of remarks by noted economist Carl Tannenbaum, Group Senior Vice President/Chief Economist for LaSalle Bank Corporation, a $100 billion financial institution centered in Chicago. He will also highlight the housing market and the latest news from Washington and Wall Street. Highly respected and known for his light-hearted, entertaining presentations, Tannenbaum is also an expert at condensing important, complex financial analysis to concepts that his audience can easily understand and relate to easily. In his capacity, Tannenbaum provides internal and external briefings on business conditions for bank clients and customers. His views and business commentary is often sought after by major media outlets, including CNBC, CNN and other financial and business publications. Tannenbaum is a member of the Blue Chip panel of economic forecasters and serves on the Board of the National Association for Business Economics.
