In his first official address to the Chamber membership, Village President Gene Marks will be the keynote speaker at this month's Lunch and Learn Program, sharing his vision for the future of Northbrook. Elected as Village President earlier this year, along with three new Trustees, Marks will provide an overview of the agenda he has planned for this new administration. Having used pro-business and development platforms during his campaign, Marks will outline programs and policies he intends to implement to create a more business friendly environment in Northbrook. He will address the Village's difficult budget position and how he hopes to bridge the gap between revenues and expenses. Marks is a 21 year resident of Northbrook and is President of Preferred Power Products, a leading manufacturer and designer of electronic components for the security industry located in Northbrook's Sky Harbor business park. Marks was a member of the Northbrook Alarm Commission for 20 years, serving as Chairman, prior to his election as Village President. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.
