DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by\n\n\n\n\nProfessional women are invited to the Northbrook Chamber's Women in Business Networking Lunch\, scheduled for Tuesday\, September 17 at 11:45 a.m. at Francesca's North.  Attendees will enjoy a delicious lunch while connecting with other women from a variety of businesses.  The event features two guest speakers\, Northbrook Plan Commission Chairperson Marcia Franklin and Northbrook Communications Manager Cheryl Fayne de-Persio.  Each will describe her career journey in public service\, offering a unique perspective on Village topics. The Women in Business luncheon series is sponsored by Northbrook Bank & Trust Co. \n\nCheryl Fayne de-Persio has spent the last 28 years working in municipal government and is responsible for a wide variety of communication platforms connecting the Village to residents and businesses.  She oversees cable franchise administration\, local programming\, media relations\, newsletter publication\, crisis communications\, mass notifications\, and website management.  She has held leadership positions in regional communications associations and participated  in exercises with FEMA and the Cook County Department of Homeland Security Emergency Management Division.  Cheryl has a bachelor's degree in Communication from Illinois State and a certificate in E-Government from the UIC College of Urban Planning & Public Affairs.\n\nMarcia Franklin is an attorney with the firm of Greenswag & Associates\, P.C.  She advises clients on a wide variety of business issues\, as well as estate planning and probate.  She has a long track record of civic involvement\, including  membership on the Zoning Board from 1997-2001 followed by a seat on the Plan Commission since 2001.  The nine-member Commission reviews  development applications with regard to rezoning\, special permits\, subdivisions\, and variations\, and advises the Village Board of Trustees on planning and development issues.  Marcia has served as Plan Commission Chair since 2013\, and recently was appointed to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.  She has a B.A. in History from the University of Rochester\, a J.D. from the Washington College of Law at American University and is admitted to practice in Illinois and the District of Columbia.
