DESCRIPTION:To give candidates for Village President an opportunity to formally address the business community\, The Chamber will host a Candidate Forum reception on Tuesday\, February 17th\, at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. Candidates Gene Marks\, Sandra Frum and Mark Damisch have agreed to participate in the program. The format will include an informal cocktail reception beginning at 5 p.m. that will allow for informal networking with the candidates\, followed by a ten minute presentation by each candidate from 6:00   6:30\, concluding with an informal half hour that will allow attendees to address any questions individually to the candidates between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Candidates have been asked to address topics of concern to the business community including programs or services aimed at retaining Northbrook businesses\; the candidate's approach to economic development and the significance of Northbrook's comprehensive plan. The format is designed to be strictly informational and does not allow for any type of debate. The event is open to Chamber members and the public at no charge\, however reservations are requested. There will be light appetizers served along with a cash bar.
