DESCRIPTION:Capital Projects\, Redevelopment to be Highlighted at Annual Forum\n\n\n\nAt this year's annual State of the Village Address\, President Sandy Frum will highlight Northbrook's strong local economy and finances which provide a solid foundation for businesses. She will also discuss the Village's efforts to constantly monitor fluctuations in the economic climate\, and its flexibility to change and adapt accordingly.\n\n\n\nPresident Frum's presentation will include a review of the major public and private projects that occurred in 2017\, and highlight potential opportunities and challenges the Village anticipates in 2018 and beyond. The interactive presentation will also include a discussion of local redevelopment\, the Village's legislative priorities and anticipated capital improvement projects.\n\n\n\nPresident Frum was first elected as Village President in April 2009\, re-elected to her second term in 2013\, and re-elected to a third term in 2017. A resident of Northbrook for 40 years\, she previously served as a Village Trustee for 24 years where she chaired the Village's Finance Committee for many of those years. In 2014/15 she served as President of the Northwest Municipal Conference.\n\n\n\nThere will be ample opportunities for questions and answers during the informative lunch.\n\n\n\n*As part of its ongoing advocacy efforts\, the Chamber offers one complimentary admission for each member business with registrations made before Thursday\, Jan. 25. Additional registrations are $30. Guests or members at the door are $35.
