McDonald is known for his strong leadership and adept insight into financial markets\, as well as his strong communication abilities.  \n\nAt this informative presentation\, McDonald will share his views on the current bull market\, while responding to the question of whether stock markets are "getting into thin air" or if stock prices today still present a reasonable value.   In addition\, he will express his views on investor appetite\, just eight years past the technology stock bubble bursting.\n\n    McDonald will also address the reigning skepticism about the risk of central bank "money printing" and the market manipulation cycle.  There has been widespread criticism of governmental competency from the leadership of the European Monetary Union on the effectiveness of U.S. policy.\n\n  Other points that will be covered in his presentation include the outlook for the labor market and the forecast for unemployment\, factors that will have an impact on interest rates\, the risk of inflation and the issue of government deficits and debt levels.\n\n   McDonald was appointed to his current position at Northern Trust in February 2009.   He is responsible for making strategic and tactical investment recommendations and communicating the firm's strategy to individual and institutional clients. In addition\, McDonald chairs the Tactical Asset Allocation Committee\, and is a trustee of the Northern Trust Alpha Strategies Hedge Fund.  Prior to joining Northern Trust as a Senior Vice President in 2001\, he was Director of Research at ABN AMRO in New York and Chicago.
