DESCRIPTION:Annual Auction and Taste\n\nMonday\, October 29th\n\n5:00 p.m.   7:30 p.m.\n\nRenaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel \n\n\n\npresented by\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Chamber is pleased to present this year's spectacular Auction and Taste\, featuring a dazzling Silent and Live Auction along with fabulous food from some of the area's finest restaurants. Over 400 Chamber members\, community leaders and guests are expected to attend this annual event which is a fun and important fundraiser for the Chamber.\n\n\n\nIn a "bewitching" Halloween setting\, the festive evening will include a chance to bid on valuable items donated by area businesses\, while mixing and mingling with guests in the beautiful newly renovated ballroom of the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. Popular items include everything from hard to obtain theatre tickets\, golf foursomes and overnight hotel stays\, to restaurant certificates\, concert tickets\, car wash packages\, sports and fitness club memberships. Every year bidders engage in friendly competition to be the winning bid on coveted items.\n\n\n\nLive auction item highlights include a complete LASIK eye surgery package provided by nationally recognized ophthalmologist Dr. Marion Macsai and Glenbrook Hospital\, and a White Sox Diamond Suite package which includes 16 seats\, parking passes\, food and beverages. Other highly anticipated items include tickets to an upcoming Chicago Bulls game\, a gourmet dinner for 8 prepared in-home by a Renaissance chef\, and hard to obtain Broadway in Chicago theatre tickets. In addition to an opportunity to bid on these and other valuable items\, raffle tickets offer a chance to win $1\,000 as well as a more than 30 other valuable items.\n\n\n\nChamber members are encouraged to invite co-workers\, family and friends and sign up early for this fun-filled evening. Tickets are $25 in advance\, $35 at the door which includes complimentary beer\, wine and soft drinks along with a delectable "Taste of Northbrook."\n\nTo register for the event\, purchase raffle tickets\, or make a donation call the Chamber office at (847) 498-5555. Advance reservations will be taken through Wednesday\, October 24th\; afterwards members and guests are invited to register at the door for $35.
